About the Volunteer Website
What am I? I enable users to access me on virtually any device with an internet connection and web browser. I was designed as a tool to assist volunteers with logging volunteer hours. My functions were designed to enhance collaboration between organizations with volunteer needs and volunteer opportunity seekers. My major functions are as follows:
-User Interface for organizations to publish/manage volunteer needs
-User Interface for volunteers to find opportunities, connect with organizations, and track hours
-Provide custom reports on volunteerism to volunteers, organizations, leadership
-Streamline President’s Volunteer Service Award recognition process
Additionally, I have an administrative UI that allows for managing installations and units, PVSA data reporting, multi-level statistical data reporting in real time, as well as dollar value savings (i.e. impact of volunteerism).
Who can use me? Any private or professional organization seeking volunteers from the Air Force community and any volunteer affiliated with the Air Force community (e.g. Active Duty, Reserve, Guard, Civilian, spouses and dependent children).
Why use me? Using me will provide you a long-term record of volunteerism. This can be extremely useful for awards packages or to write a resume for future employment. Additionally, using me will ensure your hours are submitted for the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). Your community PVSA certifying official can download a PVSA report to upload your hours directly to the PVSA website, eliminating the need to register and log hours in multiple locations. Furthermore, I work on mobile devices, allowing you to log your hours at your convenience.
How can I serve you better? I am relatively new to the web, born on 1 Jan 2014. I really want to serve you better, so do not hesitate to give my developer your feedback. If you have an idea, suggestion, complaint, need assistance, or just feel like sending a message; use the top menu bar and click the mail icon or click the feedback icon from the main landing page. The information will go directly the developer for review, consideration, and/or implementation.
